Comprehensive probe required in Karuvannur: M M Hassan

kk

THRISSUR: UDF convener MM Hassan demanded a comprehensive investigation into the Karuvannur bank fraud under the supervision of the High Court.

"ED's investigation has hit a dead end. It must be suspected that CPM state secretary MV Govindan's claim that all issues related to the scam have been resolved is part of a move to settle the case with the help of the BJP," Hassan said at a press conference.

"If there is sincerity in the words of the Chief Minister that there is a government guarantee, the money should be returned to the investors in Karuvannur. The CPM is divided on the role of leaders in corruption. MV Govindan's eagerness to correct Speaker Shamseer is proof of this. Minister MB Rajesh is saying that Karuvannur corruption was a small problem. Before commenting like this, remember that 99% of the investors in Karuvannur are comrades," Hassan said.

UDF district chairman MP Vincent and KPCC executive committee member Anil Akkara also attended the press conference.
