Teacher arrested for ordering Muslim student to slap Hindu classmate

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a school teacher who ordered a Muslim student to slap his Hindu classmate for not answering a question. The arrested person is Saishta, who works in a private school in Dugawar village in Sambhal district. The incident took place on September 26. The school authorities had suspended the teacher immediately after learning about the incident.

According to sources, the teacher got provoked as the 11-year-old boy could not answer a question asked by her. After rebuking the boy, the teacher asked a Muslim student to slap him. The child started showing symptoms of depression after he was beaten by his classmate in front of others. Following the incident, he refused to go to school and remained confined to his home. The incident came to light after the boy's father questioned him about why he wasn't attending school. Upon learning about the incident, the family lodged a complaint against the teacher.
