Issues in co-operative banks started with demonetisation, Pinarayi and his team came to meet Arun Jaitley to find solution: Suresh Gopi 

THRISSUR: Suresh Gopi said that the issues in cooperative establishments in Kerala started after the announcement of demonetisation in 2016. He was speaking at the inauguration of the padayatra from Karuvannur to Thrissur.

'The demonetisation came into force in November 2016. The problem in the cooperative establishments in Kerala started then. At that time, Pinarayi and his team approached Arun Jaitley to settle the matter. I was in that office on that day and the continuation of the things that were firmly said then is happening here. Suresh Gopi said that the protest will now spread to Kannur, Mavelikkara and Malappuram.
