Health Dept job scam: Lawyer Raees arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have recorded the first arrest in the job fraud related to the Health Minister's office. The arrested person is Raees, a lawyer from Kozhikode. The investigation team had found that Raees was the one who created the fake email in the name of AYUSH Mission. Raees was arrested after hours of questioning.

Meanwhile, KP Basith, a friend of the complainant Haridasan and former leader of AISF in Malappuram district, was released after questioning. Basith and Raees were brought to Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday morning. The arrested Raees is a close friend of Akhil Sajeev and Lenin Raj, who are accused in the case.

At the same time, the complainant Haridas did not appear for the interrogation on Tuesday. His phone is also switched off. Police suspect that he is absconding. Haridas' daughter-in-law received her posting order in AYUSH Mission from a fake email. Raees was the one who prepared it. It was found that he was involved in all the conspiracies related to the job scam.
