Karuvannur : Co Registrar to appear before ED today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Enforcement Directorate has issued notices to P V Haridasan, the Managing Director of Rabco and T V Subhas who is an IAS officer serving as the Cooperative Registrar in connection with the Karuvannur Co-operative bank fraud case.

A team appointed by the Cooperation Department had investigated the Karuvannur fraud and submitted a report to the Registrar. The registrar was called for an explanation of the action taken to detect the fraud.

Karuvannur Bank was the distribution agency for Rabco products in Thrissur and Ernakulam districts. Transactions were through commission agents. The co-operative department and ED had found fraud of lakhs in the sale of products. The managing director was called for an explanation.
