Fourth accused in Walayar case found hanging

ALUVA: The fourth accused in the case related to the mysterious death of minor sisters in Walayar was found hanging dead in Edayar. Madhu Manikandan (29), known as Kutti Madhu, of Attapallam house in Palakkad, Pampampallam was found dead.

The dead body was found at around 7:30 yesterday morning in the room where the employees of the scrap removal firm of Binani Zinc Company in Edayar, which ceased operations, were staying. Madhu has been working here for one and a half years.

Yesterday morning at seven o'clock, he entered the room of another employee and hanged himself by entangling himself with an electric wire. It was in the afternoon that he was identified as the accused who was out on bail in the Walayar case. Binanipuram Police Inspector Sunil said that the body will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem at Kalamassery Medical College today.

The police said that it was clear that Madhu was behind the disappearance of copper from the company a few days ago.
