'Mazhavilu' fame Preeti Jhangiani is back

‘Mazhavilu’ was released in 1999 without much ado in the theatres. The movie had a modest cast and a gripping drama to captivate the audience, but no such miracles happened. The movie was written off as a mediocre run-of-the-mill, but surprisingly enough, the songs tuned by veteran Mohan Sithara created waves. The movie directed by Dinesh Baboo soon started appearing on television often and garnered a cult fan base for its engaging storyline and the scenic beauty of Sweden. The movie had Kunchacko Boban and Preeti Jhangiani playing the lead with Vineeth playing the role of a jilted lover.

Over the years, all cast in the movie became popular with the masses but actress Preeti Jhangiani remained an enigma, not to be seen again in Malayalam. However, Preeti is active on social media and engages with fans often. Ending the long curiosity and wait of many well-wishers, Preeti is returning back to the movie world with the series 'Kafas', streaming on Sony Liv. The actress revealed the news through her social media.

Preethi started her career with an album song opposite actor Abbas which caught many eyes. Directors noted her charisma and roped her in for more roles. Jhangiani later met actor Parvin Dabas at a movie set and later married him in 2008. She currently lives with her family in Bandra.
