Filmmaker dies in accident, was left bleeding on road side for half an hour, camera stolen

NEW DELHI: A film maker died after his bike collided with another bike in Delhi. The accident happened Saturday night at 9:30 pm near Panchsheel Enclave in Delhi. Filmmaker Piyush Pal (30) died while undergoing treatment.

The bike driven by a youth identified as Bunty (26), a driver in Gurugram, collided with Piyush's bike. His friends alleged that although the accident was caught on CCTV, the police registered a case against Piyush.


‘Piyush was wearing an expensive helmet. Though he was left bleeding on the road for more than 20 minutes, nobody came forward offering help. The people gathered there to click pictures. Four people who reached the spot rushed him to the hospital. He was taken to the hospital after half an hour of the accident.

Piyush was returning home after swimming classes. He was travelling on ordinary speed. Another bike hit his vehicle while he was taking a turn. His phone was ringing till 10 pm. His GoPro camera which he used to record things related to his work, had gone missing. H should get justice.

He leaves behind his parents and sister. ‘His dream was to make a documentary about the life of Bollywood crew members, how they survive in Mumbai and their daily routine,' said his friends. Police said that a case has been registered against Bunty.
