Negative energy out completely: Probe on incident of staging prayers in govt office in Thrissur

THRISSUR: The collector has ordered an investigation over the incident of staging prayers at the Thrissur District Child Welfare Office, to ward off negative energy The sub-collector is in charge of the investigation.

The prayer was conducted under the leadership of the district child protection officer weeks ago. The special prayer was during office hours. The childcare officer asked all employees to participate in it. Many including childline workers had to participate in this. In the complaint against the child welfare officer, it was mentioned that one wearing the same dress as a priest conducted the prayers with a Bible. Many didn’t want to participate in the prayer but did so as it was contract appointment and they didn’t want to upset their officer. Many temporary employees had to leave their jobs due to differences of opinion with the officer.

The officer said the problems in the office are due to negative energy. If this was avoided, the problems would be solved. The prayers were conducted for it. After this came to light, it sparked a controversy leading to an investigation.
