KOTTAYAM: More information is out on the suicide of a youth, who took the extreme step after hanging his son at Meenadom Nedumpoika. A suicide note recovered asserted that the employees of a private company had continuously annoyed Binu (48) of Meenadom Vattukalam demanding to pay the arrears of the loan taken to buy a mobile phone. Disappointed over it, he killed his son Sivahari aged 9 and a third-class student, and then ended his life.

Meantime, Binu’s relatives denied that he committed suicide due to financial liabilities. The bodies of the two were found in the shed in an uninhabited land belonging to a native of Perumbavoor, 200 meters away from his house. He usually goes for a morning stroll early morning with his daughter but yesterday he went with his son. This raised a suspicion. Marks of the rope were found on Sivahari’s neck. The bodies are kept in the mortuary of Manarcaud private hospital after post mortem. He leaves behind his wife Rekha and daughter Lekshmi. He will be cremated at 11.30 am today.
