‘Number one criminal, third rate communist’: V T Balram openly criticizes CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress vice-president V T Balram came to the fore against chief minister's statement justifying DYFI in the incident of attacking Youth Congress activists who protested. In a Facebook post, he penned that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is the number one criminal who has encouraged the violence of his own people.

Balram said the Kerala Police lodged an FIR and registered a case against 14 DYFI and CPM criminals for attacking the youth congress workers, who were chanting peaceful protest slogans, with helmets, iron rods and plant pots. The chief minister also the home minister who controls the police, had come forward in support of the accused, he said.

Youth Congress president Rahul Mamkootathil responded that we do not expect any more dignified response from the chief minister, an accused in the Vadikkal Ramakrishnan murder case. Rahul said that there has never been such a wicked, cruel, bloodless and inhumane ruler in the history of Kerala.
