CM's posh 'Nava Kerala' bus gets stuck in mud in Wayanad; locals with help, watch video

WAYANAD: The highly posh bus ferrying CM Pinarayi Vijayan and his entourage of ministers, had to stop its journey for some time after its wheel got stuck in the muddy pit in Wayanad on Thursday. The incident took place when the vehicle reached Mananthavady. It was one of the last schedules planned in the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ event in Wayanad district.

The police resorted to tyre care facilities to help bring the vehicle out of the mud. It was the rear wheels of the bus which got stuck in the mud, impeding the travel. The locals in the area also lent a hand of support and pushed the vehicle along with the police forces.

On another note, the government is planning to use the posh bus for tourism purposes after the Nava Kerla Sadas culminates. KSRTC CMD Biju Prabhakar has sought permission from the government and apprised them of new lucrative plans which can start in January.

The bus will be allowed for tourism purposes for a special fee as rent. KSRTC will move ahead with further steps after getting assent from the government.
