Man rejects all marriage proposals of daughter; woman finally wins favorable verdict

RIYADH: The Saudi Personal Status Court has issued an order against a man, who is not ready to get his daughter married. She herself approached the court in the incident. The court took over her guardianship and clarified that she can marry the person of her choice. The court accepted the complaint filed by the woman against her father through online.

A teacher in Saudi Arabia approached the court with a complaint against her father. The woman complained that her father is not ready to conduct her marriage even at the age of 30 and that her father was rejecting all marriage proposals without any reason. Her complaint said that despite the consent of her mother, he is not agreeing to marry a person of her choice.

The court took a decision within nine minutes after hearing the complaint. The court then withdrew the guardianship of the woman from her father and shifted to the court. Later the Court of Appeal also accepted the verdict. The court tried to resolve the issues between the father and daughter, but failed. The woman is getting married to her friend's brother. Meantime, the father told the court that she is disobedient.
