KOLLAM: Abigail Sara, who was kidnapped and released, said that she spent the last night in a big house. The six-year-old girl told police that a woman and three men were in the house and that she doesn’t know them.
The girl was found from Kollam Ashramam Grounds a few minutes ago after a search of more than 21 hours. Eyewitnesses said the child was brought here by a woman in a yellow churidar.
The CCTV visuals of the woman returning after making the child sit there have surfaced. She brought the child in an auto. Eyewitnesses said the woman was tall and fat and was wearing a mask. There are reports that the auto driver has been identified.
The students of S N College saw the child first sitting alone in the Ashramam Grounds. The people then gathered around her and informed the police. Abigail has been handed over to her father.
Abigail, who was going for tuition with her brother, was abducted by an unknown group at 4:30 pm yesterday. The gang also tried to abduct her brother Jonathan but he managed to escape. Her mother got a call on her mobile at 7.45 pm demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh. The abductors called her mother from the phone of Girija, a shop owner in Paripally. After that, the woman called her mother a second time demanding Rs 10 lakh.
