Continuous violations; permit of Robin bus revoked, Transport Secretary issues order

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The permit of private bus Robin, which is facing action for violating the All India Tourist Permit rules, has been revoked. The permit was revoked by the Transport Secretary on the grounds of continuous violations. The Transport Secretary took action pointing out the All India Tourist Permit Rules of 2023.

The order states that the bus is likely to continue to violate the rules in the future. The All India Permit of the bus is in the name of K Kishore, a native of Kozhikode. Girish has been tasked with managing the bus.

Earlier, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) had slapped fines on the bus regularly for violating the permit. The MVD also seized the bus the other day. It also registered a case against the bus. The bus was seized on the grounds that it was continuously violating the permit in violation of the High Court order. Transport Minister Antony Raju had warned that strict action would be taken against the bus.
