'Let them carry out any test'; girl's father says he was called for questioning in kidnap case

KOLLAM: Reji, the father of the six-year-old girl who was kidnapped in Oyoor, has been summoned for interrogation by the police team probing the abduction of the girl. It was Reji himself who said this to the media. Reji said that he will appear before the investigation team for questioning.

Reji said that the phone that the police took away from his residence in Pathanamthitta was his old phone.

"I didn't keep that phone at home in Oyoor so that children do not use it. Let them carry out any test. If there is any evidence, let the police find it. If I have committed the crime, let them punish me," Reji said.

Reji also alleged that he and the United Nurses Association are being targeted in the case. "The child knows the number of mother and father. The number on the phone is the number used by my brother who is abroad," he added.

Meanwhile, the girl told the police that there were two women in the gang that abducted her. Police have prepared the sketches of those involved in the incident.
