Soumya came back from Gulf three months ago, was devastated after getting diagnosed with cancer; information on suicide note is out

ALAPPUZHA: Crucial details have come out in the incident where a couple committed suicide after murdering their children. Thalavady Mooleparambil native Sunu and Soumya ended their lives after murdering their twin children Aadhi and Aathil.

The incident came to light at around 6 am today. The couple killed themselves by hanging after strangling the children to death. It is said that they took this drastic step due to financial liabilities and illness.

Soumya was a nurse in the Gulf. She returned home three months ago. However, she was diagnosed with blood cancer when she underwent a medical check-up to return to the Gulf. She had been undergoing treatment at the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC). Relatives said that she was supposed to go to the hospital today for a blood transfusion.

Sunu was also an expatriate. After returning home, he met with an accident while doing welding work. Police have found a suicide note from the house. It is said that the couple stated that they could no longer go forward because of the illness.
