KOLLAM: Padma Kumar and his family, who kidnapped a six-year-old girl and put Kerala on tenterhooks for a day, had only one request to the police who came to arrest them. They should find a way to look after the dogs the family cared for. They enjoyed fostering abandoned and stray dogs. So, the dogs’ facing difficulty is something they could not bear.
Meantime, Padma Kumar remanded is lodged in Poojappura Jail and Anitha Kumari and her daughter in Attakulangara Women's Sub Jail. The police are trying their best to complete the investigation of the case quickly and submit the charge sheet within 90 days. In that case, the possibility of them getting bail will be rare.
The arrest of the three was recorded at Pooyapally station yesterday after bringing them to the Adoor Battalion camp from Tenkasi and questioned in detail on Friday. The three were remanded.
