Pathanamthitta: Vehicle breakdown foils gang's plan to kidnap class 9 student

PATHANAMTHITTA: In yet another shocking incident in Kerala, Police foiled a gang's plan to abduct a 9th-standard student from Pathanamthitta. The incident happened in Pathanamthitta Kodumon. The gang including the victim's boyfriend and friends were travelling in an auto with the girl when suddenly, the vehicle stopped due to engine trouble near Elanthoor.

The police were on an investigation into the case after the family complained about the girls missing. It was at this time that the police observed an auto on the roadside in suspicious circumstances. Four people were arrested during the subsequent investigation. Arun, Biju, Aji Shashi and Abhishek, natives of Elavumthitta, were arrested.
