THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K B Ganesh Kumar and Kadannapally Ramachandran are likely to be sworn in as ministers on December 29. A decision will be taken in the Left Front meeting on December 24 over the cabinet reshuffle of the second Pinarayi government. There was an earlier agreement that when the Pinarayi government completes two and a half years, the two constituent parties of the Left Front should hand over the ministerial posts to the other two constituent parties.
The position of the party and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is that there is no need to change portfolios as the responsibilities of other ministers’ change. After taking the final decision, the present Transport Minister Antony Raju and Ports Minister Ahmed Devarkovil will submit their resignations. Reports said Ganesh Kumar may get the transport department and Kadannapally the port department.
With the reshuffle of the cabinet, all parties except the RJD which has a single MLA in the front will get representation in the government. The information given by the LDF leaders is that they will have to consider giving other posts to the RJD who did not get a ministerial berth.
