Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to inaugurate 91st Sivagiri pilgrimage

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to inaugurate the 91st Sivagiri pilgrimage at 10 am on December 31st marking the commencement of this revered event. Swami Satchidananda, President of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust will preside over the inauguration ceremony.

The official inauguration of the pilgrimage days will take place at 10 am on December 30th by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Notable figures attending include SNDP meeting General Secretary Vellapally Natesan, Minister VN Vasavan and Ramesh Chennithala as special guests. Swami Vishudhananda and Swami Saradananda will impart their blessing discourses during the event.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind will honor the centenary celebrations of the interfaith conference as part of the pilgrimage on the 26th at 11 am. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Swami Subhangananda will deliver the benediction. The Pilgrim Committee Joint Secretary, Swami Asanganandagiri Gurusmarana will oversee the proceedings with Swami Rithambarananda extending the welcome and Swami Saradananda expressing gratitude.

Dr G Mohan Gopal, former director of the National Judicial Academy is scheduled to inaugurate the Gurudharma campaign meeting on the morning of the 27th. Minister MB Rajesh will inaugurate the Aasan Devaviyoga Centenary Celebration at 10 am on the 28th. Additionally, Minister V Shivankutty will inaugurate the Sivagiri High School Centenary Celebration and Kurichi AVHSS Navathi Celebration on the morning of the 29th with Minister P Prasad assuming the role of chairman.

ISRO Chairman Dr S Somnath will inaugurate the science and technology conference at 2 pm on the 30th, with Digital University Vice Chancellor Dr Saji Gopinath chairing the event. Karnataka Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa is set to inaugurate the health and education conference at 5 pm with Minister P Rajeev as the chairman.

Key members of the organizing committees including Pilgrimage Committee Secretary Swami Rithambarananda, Joint Secretary Swami Asangananda Giri, Media Committee Chairman Dr M Jayaraj and Program Committee Chief Coordinator Dr S Jayaprakash, were present at the press conference.
