MELBOURNE: Pakistan's batting line-up stumbled in front of the Aussie seam attack on Wednesday. In reply to Australia's first innings score of 318 runs, the Pakistan team scored 194 runs for the loss of six wickets when play was stopped on the second day. They are now trailing by 124 runs with four wickets remaining.
Opener Abdullah Shafiq (62), Imam-ul-Haq (10), captain Shan Masood (54), Saud Shakeel (9) and Agha Salman (5) failed to shine big while former captain Babar Azam (1) disappointed yet again. Mohammad Rizwan (29*) and Amir Jamal (2*) are presently at the crease. Captain Pat Cummins took three wickets, Nathan Lyon two wickets and Josh Hazlewood took one wicket for the Aussies.
Labuschagne (63) is the top scorer in the Aussie line-up. Travis Head (17), Mitchell Marsh (41), Alex Carey (4), Starc (9), Cummins (13) and Lion (8) are among the Aussie batsmen who were dismissed today. All-rounder Amir Jamal, who took three wickets, shone in the Pakistan line-up. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali took two wickets each while Agha Salman took one wicket.
