THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan encountered protests upon his return to Kerala. Members of the SFI waved black near Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital junction as the governor's convoy passed by. Four SFI activists were detained by the police following the protest.

Governor Khan responded to the protest stating that individuals were free to express their dissent by waving black flags against him. He warned that despite the protest, he would continue to remain outside his car when passing through such situations. He also criticized the lack of action taken against attackers involved in an earlier incident when his car was assaulted by SFI activists on his way to the airport.

Additionally, the Governor expressed ignorance regarding the arrest of an ABVP worker who he had nominated to the university senate in connection with a criminal case. Sudhi Sadan was arrested alongside Vishnu in relation to the ABVP-SFI conflict at Pandalam NSS College where seven SFI workers sustained injuries. Both have been remanded.
