THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran said any attempt to place Suresh Gopi in Thrissur as BJP candidate will go futile. Sudhakaran ridiculed PM Modi’s visit to Kerala saying nothing big happened other than some clamour of ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ chants. The Congress leader termed Modi’s Thrissur event as vapid.

Sudhakaran rallied attack against the PM who spoke about the gold smuggling case.

“ What attempts were made by the finance ministry to catch the looters? The PM said everyone knew in which office the gold smuggling took place. Five investigative agencies of the Center stormed the Chief Minister's office. But when the Assembly elections came, all the agencies retired back as if they got a cue from higher-ups. It was this assistance from BJP that helped CM Pinarayi Vijayan to get a second term in office.” Sudhakaran said.

“ Despite having clear evidence and statements related to the gold smuggling, the Kerala CM is given a free run. The prime minister is protecting Pinarayi like an apple in his eye. Even Pinarayi didn’t utter a word of dissent against the PM’s trip to Thrissur. The unholy nexus will come out soon” Sudhakaran mentioned.
