KOCHI: Robin bus owner in High Court against Motor Vehicle Department officials. The bus owner told the High Court that he was being tortured through continuous checks.

The bus owner, Baby Gireesh, has filed a complaint in the court that he is being harassed under the guise of inspection despite the fact that the service is being provided legally that too after obtaining a court order. In the complaint, Gireesh states that the officials of the Motor Vehicle Department are taking action in the name of inspection intending to prevent and make it difficult to run the service legally.

The court accepted the bus owner's complaint on file and asked the transport secretary to submit an affidavit in this regard.

The Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Department had also taken the bus into custody and later released it through a court order. The main complaint of the bus owner is that the Motor Vehicle Department is following the bus in the name of inspections even after the service was resumed legally.
