Boycotting Ram Temple consecration ceremony is blasphemous; NSS indirectly criticizes Congress

nss

CHANGANASSERY: NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair said that it was the duty of any believer to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He also said in the press release that the stand of the NSS was not to help any particular party. It is believed that the NSS general secretary's statement is an indirect dig at the Congress which earlier announced that it will not attend the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

"There is no need to look at caste or religion in attending the opening ceremony to be held on January 22. It is blasphemous to boycott the event in the name of politics. If any organization or political party opposes it, they are doing so for selfish reasons or for political advantage. NSS did not take this stand to support any political party or eyeing a political target," Sukumaran Nair said.

The Congress High Command had announced on Wednesday that it will not participate in the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration ceremony.
