PM Modi wins hearts in Kerala, visits Guruvayur and Triprayar Ram temple

THRISSUR: It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s day on Wednesday as the leader easily turned into a favourite among people in Kerala. PM Modi visited Guruvayur and Triprayar Rama temple on the same day and also conducted offerings at the temple. At Guruvayur, the Prime Minister conducted Thulabharam with white lotus flowers. PM Modi was at Guruvayur to attend the wedding of Suresh Gopi’s daughter Bhagya Suresh.

The Prime Minister gave sacred Ayodhya Akshatham to film stars including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep, Khushboo, Biju Menon and the newlyweds at the Guruvayur temple. 66 packets were given along with the flower.

Akshatham is a pooja material offered in Ayodhya before Prana Pratishtha. The Prime Minister spent more than an hour at the Triprayar Sri Ram Temple.

This is PM Modi's third visit to Guruvayur. On Wednesday at 7.30 am, the Prime Minister arrived at Srivalsam Guest House from Kochi. He reached the temple by walking 150 meters along with the security personnel.

Prime minister entered into the temple only after touching in respect the sacred stone placed near the east side of the temple. Tantri Chennas Dineshan Namboothiri gave special prasadam to PM Modi. While returning from the Triprayar temple, PM Modi excitedly waved at people who thronged both sides of the road.
