Karnataka liquor in demand, Excise seizes over 130 litres in two days

KASARAGOD: 129.6 litres of Karnataka liquor was seized during the inspection conducted by the Excise special squad. Two persons, who were smuggling liquor in an autorickshaw, were arrested. The arrested have been identified as Narayanan, a native of Manjeswaram, and Kiran Kumar, a native of Madhur. The excise team led by Special Squad Office Preventive Officer Sajan Upyal and civil excise officers Prajith KR, Satheesan K, Manjunathan V, Nazaruddin AK and excise driver Christine PA were part of the operation.

Last day in Alappuzha, two youths were caught by the Excise with methamphetamine, ganja and Karnataka liquor. Excise seized 25 grams of methamphetamine, 334 grams of ganja and one and a half litres of Karnataka liquor brought for sale. The accused Nidheesh KS and Vinod V, natives of Ambalapuzha, were arrested under the leadership of Alappuzha Range Inspector S Satheesh.
