Man kills sister in Alappuzha over decision of second marriage, body recovered from house premises

ALAPPUZHA: A man killed his sister over her decision of getting married a second time and then buried the body at the back of the house. The dead is Rosamma of Poomkavu North Parambil. Rosamma was missing since last Wednesday. The police and revenue officials reached the spot and examined the house. Herr brother Benny has been taken into police custody following the incident. It is reported that Benny had confessed to his relatives that he had committed a mistake.

The investigation is progressing under the leadership of Alappuzha DySP. It is hinted that Rosamma had decided to get married a second time and his hostility over it led to the murder. Even though Rosamma was missing since April 18, no one had lodged a complaint with the police. Benny later informed his relatives of committing the crime and they in turn informed the police. The police then reached their house and examined.

There was a heated argument between the two over her second marriage. He later hit her on her head with a hammer. Benny said that after she was confirmed dead, he buried her at the back of the house. Her body was recovered after the police reached the spot and examined. More will be clear only after the post-mortem.
