KOCHI: SFI state secretary PM Arsho said that the attack on SFI activists in Maharaja's College in Ernakulam was extremely brutal. Arsho also alleged that there was an attempt to kill the SFI unit secretary. Arsho, who said that those who broke into the campus were trained criminals, added that a Fraternity-KSU alliance was working to carry out the attack.

"There will be student resistance against the attack. Protests will be organized on all the campuses. There have been a lot of provocations on the campus for the last few days. After the ban, Popular Front and Campus Front activists have infiltrated the Fraternity Movement. KSU is trying to protect them," Arsho said.

"The assailants faced a backlash after they broke into the campus and carried out the attack using weapons. The response they faced was only natural," Arsho added.

Meanwhile, KSU alleged that the police mismanagement was the cause of the violence. They also said that the violence might have broken out when the students, who were attacked by the SFI, retaliated. The Fraternity Movement responded that the SFI activists were constantly unleashing violence and the police and the college authorities were inactive.
