KSEB introduces easy QR bill payments for customer convenience

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC now enables easy bill payment through QR code scanning. The process is almost done and will be available shortly. Currently, customers can pay online using GPay, Amazon Pay, PayTM, etc. The addition of QR codes will make payment even more convenient.

Starting from March 1, the instant bill payment system, coupled with meter reading, will be in effect. This initiative is in collaboration with Canara Bank. Payments can be made using credit and debit cards at the swiping machines located at home meter readers. Approximately 5,300 swiping machines have been prepared for this purpose. KSEB has reduced the number of bill counters, as 60% of customers currently opt for online payments. Cashiers have been reassigned to other positions.

After resolving a server glitch on Thursday, KSEB's bill payment system was fully restored by yesterday morning. Fortunately, there was no disruption in bill payments yesterday.
