VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday unveiled the world's tallest statue of constitutional architect BR Ambedkar here in Andhra Pradesh. The 125-feet statue was installed on an 81-feet pedestal, making the total height come to 206 feet. The statue named 'Statue of Social Justice' located in the historic Swaraj Maidan is one of the 50 tallest statues in the world.
Last year, the largest statue of Ambedkar outside India was unveiled in Maryland in USA.
The statue of Sardar Patel at Kevadia on the banks of Narmada River in Gujarat is the tallest statue in the world. The height of the statue known as the 'Statue of Unity' is 597 feet.
