P C George's arrival proof of rising Christian support; repeated visit of Modi, will open account through Thrissur, says BJP

NEW DELHI: It is heard that Janapaksham party leaders including P C George and his son Shaun George will accept BJP membership today. It is hinted that they will accept membership in Kerala during the padayatra led by BJP state president K Surendran. P C George and Shaun George reached Delhi yesterday and held discussions with the BJP central leadership. Talks will continue today. George said the decision will be informed this evening.

Meantime, national general secretary Radhamohandas Agrawal said that after P C George, more will join the BJP from Kerala. The arrival of George is proof of the increasing support of the Christian community for the BJP in Kerala. The fight in Wayanad will not be easy for Rahul this time. A strong candidate will be fielded in Wayanad. Rahul's stance that he will not go to Ayodhya is to please the Muslims. Only Muslim League will be with Rahul. Modi makes frequent visits to Thrissur as it is the cultural capital of Kerala. The account will be opened in the Lok Sabha through Thrissur. The BJP will have a resounding win in Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad and Pathanamthitta. Agrawal said that they will win in at least five seats in Kerala this time.

P C George had said yesterday that he does not know whether he will contest from Pathanamthitta in the Lok Sabha elections and will listen to whatever the BJP leadership says. He said that he is not under any compulsion to compete.
