NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi astonished fellow MPs in Parliament by inviting them to lunch. Declaring, "I am going to punish you all," he led the MPs to join him for a meal. Vegetarian dishes including rice and dal laddus were served during the gathering where MPs from various parties, such as TDP's Ram Mohan Naidu and BSP's Ritesh Pandey, participated.
During the 45-minute luncheon, the Prime Minister engaged in casual conversation with the MPs, discussing topics ranging from his daily routine to upcoming events. MPs remarked on Modi's unassuming demeanor noting that they didn't feel like they were dining with the Prime Minister himself.
Modi shared anecdotes, including a surprise visit to Pakistan and the forthcoming inauguration of a temple in Abu Dhabi during the interaction. The event was attended by Union Minister L Murugan, BJP's Jamyang Nangyal, BJD's Sampit Patra, Heena Gavit from Maharashtra and N K Premachandran from Kerala.
