Couple commit suicide as daughter elopes with lover, should not allow her to see bodies, says suicide note

KOLLAM: Depressed over their only daughter eloping with her lover, her parents allegedly committed suicide. The dead have been identified as Unnikrishna Pillai, a soldier and a native of Pavumba in Kollam and his wife Bindu. Their only daughter had eloped with her lover the other day.

They were depressed after their daughter left them. They had talked about this to their relatives. The couple had consumed an overdose of pills and Bindu died on that day itself. Pillai died early Sunday morning while undergoing treatment. He had some kidney ailments.

The couple were against their daughter’s relationship. Without paying heed to their advice, she eloped with her lover. The couple committed suicide after leaving a suicide note asking not to allow her to see their bodies.
