Difference of opinion with Minister Ganesh Kumar; Biju Prabhakar removed from post of Transport Secretary, replaced by K Vasuki

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Department Secretary Biju Prabhakar has been removed from the position. He has been appointed as the secretary of the industry department. Labour Commissioner K Vasuki has been given the additional charge of the Transport Department Secretary.

Biju Prabhakar has been removed from the post of Transport Secretary while he was having serious differences of opinion with Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar. He had earlier given up the post of KSRTC MD. Biju is likely to be removed from the post of KTDFC MD as well. Meanwhile, he will continue in his posts in Metro, rail, and aviation departments and as Gurvayur, Koodalmanikyam and Kochi Devaswom Commissioner.

After swearing in as Transport Minister, KB Ganesh Kumar had criticised the reforms introduced in KSRTC. This led to a difference of opinion between the two.
