Filed fake complaint against husband; court orders woman to pay alimony to husband

INDORE: In a rare verdict, a court ordered a woman to pay alimony to her estranged husband. The court issued the order after it was found that the woman had filed a fake complaint against the estranged husband.

It was the Indore Family Court that issued the order. In her complaint, the woman had alleged her husband tortured her physically and mentally over dowry. She also raised the demand that the court should intervene to ensure her alimony. Later, the husband too approached the court alleging that he had to suffer severe mental stress after marriage. He pointed out that he is unemployed as he even had to drop out of his studies to get married to her.

The court sentenced the woman after hearing the arguments of both sides. The youth's lawyer said that the court directed the woman to pay Rs 5,000 per month as compensation to her estranged husband.
