'Shailaja Teacher will end up being scapegoat'; MLA KK Rema casts doubt on Pinarayi's devious strategy

VADAKARA: MLA KK Rema ascertained that it was a devious strategy of CPM behind fixing KK Shailaja as a candidate in Vadakara. In a media interview, Rema said this was the modus operandi of Pinarayi Vijayan to suppress the growing influence of popular faces inside the party. Rema also said that Shailaja will end up as a scapegoat after contesting in this election.

“This is a move to eliminate every Pinarayi critic within the party. Shailaja teacher is being touted as the future women CM of the state. So it is pertinent for Pinarayi Vijayan to cut short her influence. This has made the party decide her as the candidate for the Vadakara seat. She will end up being a scapegoat” Rema said.

Rema also asked for Shailaja's teacher's opinion on the TP Chandrashekaran murder case.

“If she is preparing to contest for Vadakara, she should have the courage to condemn the murder,” Rema said.
