Youth’s brutal act, kills sister’s dog after irritated over its barking

IDUKKI: A youth beat his sister's pet dog to death for barking loudly. The brutal act happened at Sanniasioda, Nedukandam in Idukki. A fight with his sister, who is also his neighbor, led to the killing of the dog. The Cumbummettu police have registered a case against Rajesh, a native of Sanniasioda in the incident.

There exists a property dispute between Rajesh and his sister. A verbal dispute broke out between the two on the same issue yesterday. The accused also attacked his sister and aged mother. Meanwhile, Rajesh got irritated when the dog barked loudly, took and killed it by hitting at a nearby rock.

His relatives lodged a complaint with the police after Rajesh left the place. The police reached and inquired about the details and completed the post-mortem of the dog. Rajesh was taken into custody and later released on bail.
