State Television award to VS Rajesh; two awards for Kaumudi TV

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Kaumudi Associate Editor VS Rajesh has won the 2022 State Television Award for Best Interview. The Best Music Director Award went to Jishnu Tilak for the music direction of the telefilm 'Kathollaam' aired on Kaumudi TV.

Interviews with renowned storyteller T Padmanabhan and aerospace scientist Dr Nambi Narayanan on Kaumudi TV's weekly program Straight Line earned him the award. The award consists of Rs 10,000, a citation and a sculpture. Kairali TV's NP Chandrasekharan shared the same award. This was announced by Minister Saji Cherian in a press conference. This is Rajesh's third state award for television interviews. He has won many awards including National Award for Journalism. His wife is SS Deepa, a teacher at St. Rita's School, Aruviyodu, Thiruvananthapuram. Rajdeep Sridhar, a plus two student of Pattam Kendriya Vidyalaya, is his son. The award for the music director consists of Rs 15,000, a citation and a sculpture.
