Man hangs self after setting house on fire in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man hanged himself in a nearby rubber plantation after setting his house on fire. The incident took place at Pangode in Kallara in Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased was Nasaruddin (50), a native of Kochalammoodu. The preliminary finding is that family problems led to his suicide. The Pangode police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Neighbours noticed smoke erupting from Nasaruddin's house around 1 pm on Thursday and rushed to the spot. By then the house was partially gutted. Nasaruddin was found hanging in the nearby rubber plantation.

Nasaruddin and his wife stayed in the house. He has been staying alone in this house for the past week.
