KOCHI: Dr Deepak Kumar Sahu, former principal of the School of Engineering, submitted an additional affidavit in the High Court. Both police and university sub-committee reports have excluded higher-ups from the university, suggesting bias. Dr. Sahu refuted the allegations in the Registrar's affidavit. The court is reviewing a petition from KSU state president Aloysius Xavier, seeking a judicial inquiry.

Biased investigation reports have surfaced. The university issued a press release attributing negligence of organizers to the tragedy before the Syndicate sub-committee began its investigation. Although the ADGP initially deemed the November 25 incident on campus an accident, a special police team has since registered a case of negligence causing death against him and his colleagues.

The registrar's claim of seeking police assistance following his letter requesting police security is disputed, as there's no mention of police in the duty notice. Additionally, the argument that he was unaware it was a celebrity program is refuted, given the news was reported three days prior.

While the magisterial inquiry and the report from the Collegiate Education Department are pending, Dr. Deepak Sahu has filed an additional affidavit. Justice Devan Ramachandran will reconsider the case on the 11th.
