‘Daughter of Karunakaran, a regular visitor to Guruvayur Temple on first day of Malayalam month, shouldn’t have said that’; haven’t she seen Ramya Haridas applying ‘chandanam’, says Shafi Parambil

KOZHIKODE: Shafi Parambil, the UDF candidate in Vadakara constituency said K Muraleedharan does not require the certificate of Padmaja Venugopal. K Muraleedharan is a Congress activist and is son of Karunakaran. He will not betray that tradition. He said that Padmaja can now sign the certificate to Surendran and that she is no one to give certificate to K Muraleedharan.

Shafi Parampil asked whether BJP is the right party to go in the name of consideration. He criticized Padmaja for not understanding that the pit is not a pit for those who believe in Congress ideals, to fall into.

Shafi also responded to Padmaja's remark that she was afraid to apply chandanam. 'Used to look at people who applied chandanam with love. What all is said about Congress? Haven’t you seen Ramya Haridas applying chandanam. How many visuals are there? Isn’t she in the Congress. If Padmaja wants to go to another party, let her go and let her do whatever she wants. Whatever Suresh Gopi got or didn't, let she get it. However, she shouldn't have said such dirty things to the trio coloured when her father was in prison. Padmaja, daughter of Karunakaran, who regularly visited Guruvayur temple on the first of every Malayalam month, shouldn’t have made such a remark. It is self-deprecating,’ clarified Shafi.
