THRISSUR: DYFI leader Nithin Pullan, who smashed and vandalized a police jeep in public view will be deported under the KAAPA act. DIG Ajeetha Begum confirmed this news saying that the estranged DYFI leader will be soon deported for six months after he was found guilty of vandalizing a police jeep in Chalakudy.
The shameful incident took place on December 22. After winning the ITI elections, the SFI students who came back from a jubilant demonstration clashed with the police. The fracas soon turned into its worst phase as the DYFI workers smashed the glass of the vehicle.
A case was also registered against CPM leaders who forcibly released Nithin Pullan from police custody. Nithin was first arrested on December 23 and in February 2024, the High Court granted conditional bail to the accused.
