Yet another wild elephant attack: Youth killed in Gudalur

GUDALUR: Yet another person has been killed in a wild elephant attack in Gudalur. The incident took place at Oveli in Gudalur. The deceased has been identified as Periya Choondi native Prashanth (25).

The incident took place yesterday night. Locals said that Prasanth was attacked by a wild elephant that came down from the nearby forest area. The wild elephant attacked Prasanth at around 10.45 pm while he was returning home.

Prasanth, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately rushed to the Gudalur District Headquarters Hospital and later shifted to the Ooty Medical College Hospital. He died at around 6 am today.
