The sylphlike young girl clad in a beaming yellow saree was all it took for social media to fall for Sreelekshmi Satheesh, an actor who mostly worked in advertisements. The video soon became a craze and netizens started prattling about ‘the yellow saree girl’. The popularity broke the roof and thus also caught the attention of avant-garde filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV.
RGV soon approached Sreelekshmi and expressed his desire to work with her on a project. Sreelekshmi though flattered by the offer refused the chance for her apprehension in doing bold roles. And now, just months after this decision, Sreelekshmi seems to have given a second thought and is now in the process of becoming the ‘RGV girl’.
Malayali native Sreelekshmi has now been rechristened as Aaradhya Devi. Ramgopal Varma's photographer, Yashwant Goud, captured the pictures of Sreelekshmi Satheesh (Aaradhya Devi) in the latest photoshoot which RGV captioned as ‘shocked’.
“Yashwant Goud, I am blown away by the transformation Aaradhya Devi has undergone through your photography. Aaradhya has also signed the film Saari with us. The production of that film is in progress. This photo shoot was done by Yashwant.” Ramgopal Varma tweeted after sharing Aaradhya's glamour picture on X.
Aaradhya plays the lead role in the 'Saaree' directed by photographer Aghosh Vaishnav. Produced by RGV and RV Group, the film will be released in five languages.
In a recent interaction with fans on Instagram, Aaradhya responded to some rumours on whether she was dating RGV. She laughed it off and said RGV would have done the same if he faced the question.
