DOHA: An airline in the Gulf has good news for passengers in view of the month of Ramadan. Qatar Airways has allowed 15 kg extra baggage allowance for Doha-Jeddah passengers during the month of Ramadan.

Qatar Airways said the announcement of the extra baggage allowance is due to the large number of Muslims performing Umrah during the holy month. In this way, those returning after Umrah can bring more Zamzam water, dates etc.

All passengers from Doha to Jeddah will be allowed extra baggage allowance. Qatar Airways has 35 weekly services to Jeddah. Last year, 13.5 million passengers had travelled from Doha to Jeddah during Ramadan. This was an all-time record. This time too there is a huge rush from Doha to Jeddah.

The announcement of Qatar Airways is part of providing better facilities for the passengers considering the rush.
