Aluva abduction: Car with blood stains taken into police custody in T'puram, six-member gang manages to escape

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An Innova car police pursued in connection with abduction of a young man in Aluva this morning was taken into custody in Kaniyapuram. The group of six in the car fled.

The red colored Innova car arrived in Puthenkadavu in Kaniyapuram around 1 pm today. They were being followed by the city police and the Mangalapuram police. When the car reached Puthenkadavu, they evaded police and went to a place called Valan Vilakam, where they stopped the car and ran away. Locals say that there were six people in the group and they escaped by jumping over a wall.

In the presence of rural SP, more police arrived and took the car into custody. The fingerprint experts, dog squad and forensics arrived and carried out inspection. It is also indicated that blood stains were found in the car. The police are conducting intensive investigations for the group. It is reported that the car was rented from a native of Pathanamthitta.

It was learned that the gang abducted a man who had come out of a hotel between the Aluva KSRTC bus stand and the railway station at around 7:30 this morning. The police arrived on the information given by the auto drivers.
