THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF candidate Pannyan Ravindran on Wednesday presaged a heavy defeat for UDF candidate Shashi Tharoor in the upcoming LS polls. According to Pannyan, the fight will be between LDF and BJP and Tharoor is totally out of the race.

Pannyan was interacting with the media when he lashed out at the UDF candidate. Shashi Tharoor during the beginning of campaigning, had asserted the fight to be between UDF and BJP and he termed Pannyan’s candidature to be a lost cause. Tharoor even took a jibe at the LDF candidate asking the purpose for the latter contesting this election. Meanwhile, Shashi Tharoor responded to Kerala Kaumudi Online that he is sure of victory. He also said that the people are instilling a lot of confidence.

A fierce battle is in its last phase in the capital between sitting MP Shashi Tharoor, former MP Pannyan Ravindran and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Thiruvananthapuram has already attracted national attention for the triangular contest which many assume will produce a result that will see the winner making out in just wafer margin.
