Youth from Tamil Nadu drowns in sea in Varkala 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 21-year-old man from Tamil Nadu drowned at the beach in Varkala on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Tamil Nadu Karur native Vishwa (21). According to sources, Vishwa was washed away by strong currents at the beach.

Vishwa was a member of the 31-member group from Tamil Nadu that reached Varkala this morning. Those who were with him were rescued by a team led by lifeguard Santhosh. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of the Varkala Taluk Hospital.
